Intentions and masterplan
The final masterplan shows the core intention of the project- to address and involve the public in the activities of the university.

Working with the people that I would potentially be designing for is crucial to the process and necessary in any and all designs in order to create spaces that are impactful and successful in what they set out to do.
This interview with a member of the public informed my project from the very beginning:
“ I don’t feel comfortable interacting with students on campus. I feel less educated than they are because I don’t have any qualifications and haven’t ever been to university. I feel unwelcome in the university.
I would love the opportunity to learn from the students and share my own life experiences with them in a way that lets us learn together.
This would make me feel more comfortable exploring the university and seeing what they have to offer.
If the place of learning were less intimidating, I would be much more open to learning and entering the university”
